The warm waters of the Karumba region are home to many species of fish, offering one of the widest ranges of angling experience available in Australia.
The thrill of landing a Barramundi is an experience that is always remembered. Other major target species include Grunter, King Salmon, Blue Salmon, Saratoga, Bream, Spanish Mackeral, Black Jewfish, Jewel Fish, Mud Crab, Sooty Grunter, Red Claw Crayfish and giant Freshwater Prawn.
Karumba has just about everything you could need for recreational fishing – plenty of bait and tackle supplies, boat hire and charters. Most shops, cafes and caravan parks provide bait (prawns, mullet and garfish) and basic fishing gear including lures suitable for local conditions.
